Work being undertaken on behalf of KIDSTEM:

ESC project:

  • differentiation of embryonic stem cell towards a renal lineage and organization of cells into the structures of the kidney
  • ureteric bud and metanephric mesenchyme recombinations
  • reconstitution of metanephric mesenchyme from primary single-cell suspensions
  • transplantation of initiated ESCs into kidney rudiments
  • chimeric kidneys
  • establishing a simplified method for culturing kidney rudiments in vitro
